What mufflers are on your cougar

What mufflers are on your cougar. My mufflers are way too loud,and I want something quieter. Looked at flowmaster supper 50’s , dynamax super turbo, magnaflow and borla. I don’t want loud and definitely don’t want drone. A low rumble is ok.

Mines pretty much stock. In the stock locations. But mines pretty quiet. I like that.

I was a Cherry Bomb kid in High School but now prefer something a bit louder than stock without the annoying drone.

Been running dynomax super turbos with stock dual exhaust for 30 plus years. Lots of positive comments on sound. No drone or obnovious noise.

I have Flowmaster Delta 40’s and I’m ok with them especially after going from a C4 to AOD. If the 50 series were available in the size my exhaust required I would have probably gone to the 50’s. I get compliments on my exhaust tone, but if cabin noise is important the Delta 40’s might be too loud for you.

I tried something on my car that wasn’t the normal. I went with mufflers from a company called Vibrant. They are big in the European car community. It’s a great sound! Id says sound level and tone is between a Magnaflow and a Borla.

I wanted my exhaust quiet, and used Walker Quiet-Flows. Discussed on this thread, and there’s a video of the exhaust sound. Included catalytic converters to dampen sound and reduce smell. These have been great. The Sanderson Shorty headers developed an exhaust leak on the driver’s side, which was repaired with a gasket. Now the passenger side has an exhaust leak. So, can’t update the video on exhaust sound.
