I bet. Would love to see a walkaround video. Care to be a cougar content creator??
Happy to do a walk around video when it is done. So many original parts and date codes to see. May take another 5-6 weeks or so to complete.
Yes, a nice walk around video would be wonderful.
I spliced together before and after pics of the engine for the fun of it.
Kinda like playing âeye spyââŚ

Really Cool Phil! A lot of the spend is under the hood and under the air cleaner. And of course the radiator sourced from WCCC.
I would get rid of the Caution Fan sticker. Those didnât come out until 1972 on service parts.
Thought about that. Also, looks like it has been there quite some time. Not sure if what is underneath will be a darker color. Anything else you see that you would change Royce?
It looks fantastic! I donât recall seeing black AC compressor clutches on 69/70âs back in the day. Maybe there were different vendors?
No there has been a debate on the 428CJ forum about whether air cleaner stickers existed so maybe look at that one but I donât see anything else I would change.
Royce, are you referring to the 428 CJ sticker on the Ram Air, or the Autolite sticker on the driverâs side? Dead Nuts On has on their website multiple photos of low milage and unrestored cars, including a 428 CJ, with the Autolite sticker present.
No question the Autolite sticker was there. The 428CJ Ram Air sticker is the one everybody has a problem with.
Not sure if this helps, but the '68 GTE 428 4-speed had it and that Ram Air lid was original and unrestored.

I donât know. That sticker has been for sale since the late 1970âs. Looks like fresh paint to me.
I buffed and waxed it. Per the single family that owned it since new, not repainted (54K miles), Even had paint drips from being dip-painted at the factory. Guess I could be wrong.
Even if they buffed and waxed it the sticker looks like it got there more recently. Jim Osbourne used to sell those at the Pate swap meet when it was at the old museum in Cresson.
These arenât for sale - but Iâll tease you with them. As mentioned before, I have a similar R code convertible but itâs a (long term) project car.

Takes forever for them to lay flat. You should sell them.
LOL
Who did you use to restore the radiator? Have a couple to do,but havenât found anyone in the DFW / Houston / San Antonio area that can do them.
Those blue mats are a really serious tease. I included my set of white mats when I sold the red 69 428 Vert.
Robinson Restoration Service in Denton TX did it. www.rrstexas.com
Cost a ton to get it done, but where will I find another date code correct radiator?
Radiators can be pretty expensive. I think I spent $1000 on one as a core then had to spend another $600 to get it restored for the last GT-E I restored.
