I agree - nice wheel choice. Great looking triple black phatcat!
What does that detailing include and what is the typical cost? Your car looks great!
Well it depends on the condition of the car. Mine was rough (sat outside under a cover for a few months). It took the dude all day but was worth it . Started with a full wash, then a cut and buff, polish, and then lastly a ceramic coating. (car has to sit 24 hours for ceramic to set up) I had a very visible scratch on the trunk lid, now unless you know where it was and the light is right you can see it, otherwise not. $1200 when done. My buddy had his 69 Camaro done, 2 year old NICE paint job cost him $800.
Thanks for the compliments, like I said better then when I got it. A good paint guy can tell the sport mirrors were done afterwards or by someone else, I can’t tell The keystones ive loved ever since I had them on my 67 back in the day. The phatcat is otherwise stock I did upgrade the manifold and added a Holley.
Pic of starting off with the wash
That’s money well spent! I may look into doing something similar. My car has many flaws in the paint but curious as to what improvements can be done.
Yea I know it’s a big chunk of change. But he actually washed the car twice. Did the first wash, cut and buff, washed it again before the polish just to double check. I have friends who have much nicer “show cars” he’s done and it’s amazing. Paying the bill hurt but didn’t last long seeing the phatcat looking better than it ever had.
And I got some knowledge on products to use in the future to keep it looking nice.
Finally driving my 69 XR7 after nearly seven years. Up to 129 miles on the engine break in. Many things left to do but it sure feels nice to finally go someplace besides underneath it!!
That has to be a good feeling. She is looking good. When you can you should find a location near Deception Pass Bridge to get some pictures of her.
Still trying to get the rear window to fit right before sealing. Otherwise, just adding little things and getting used to driving again.
very clean, halbey
Great look, amazing colour choice
I got my 71 XR-7 out to the Cars and Coffee in Stanwood WA Saturday. I think we had close to 100 cars out at Coastal Vie Espresso at Viking Village. It was a great morning.
Cougar looks great badcatt - I love the Cars and Coffee events. You get such a wide variety of cars.
