Rear Tires Rubbing

My 67 Cougar XR7 has 225/50/16 Front and 245/50/16 Rear. I have already installed new 4-leaf leaf springs and new KYB Gas-Adjust Shocks. Rear wheels are still rubbing on road dips, etc.

Any other suggestions?
My next move will likely be to go to smaller rims and tires. Likely 15’s.

maybe just changing the rears to something with deeper back spacing? Is there room?

245 is a big tire if you don’t have enough backspacing.

Backspacing is important. Trust me.

I have 245. 50 17 with no issues. roll or trim the edges
