THE BEER THREAD

That’s awesome…

Yeah, the Dr. Tyson response is on point.

I had an opportunity to try Shiner Bock and I really liked it! I Have been looking and I found it at one of the local liquor stores. Still Guinness will remain my go to beer especially if it is on tap.

Wow, any lady that likes Guinness is ok in my book. I can only get my wife to drink Stella.

anyone have a favorite autumn brew?

Mass marketed stuff: I like the Sam Adams Octoberfest

Leinies Fireside Nut Brown is good, Andy. I’m a big, big fan of the Samuel Smith Nut Brown, though.

It’s rather spendy, however, so I don’t indulge often.

actually any Lienies is good - my fav is the Honey Weiss or summer shanty

Shiner Bock good :chest thump:

I tried Summer Shanty the other day, It is OK, but kinda lemony.
I think that women are more sensitive to the hoppiness of beer then men are. Just a personal theory.
I prefer dark beers even in the summer.

I don’t know that I can agree with that theory. I know men and women that like a hoppy (bitter) beer, and men and women that find it to really taste bad, like I do. It’s funny, a few of my friends that I’ve talked about this with have said the same thing-- that a year or two ago they were in the same boat as me, finding hoppy beer to be pretty disgusting and favoring brown or dark beers. And then something changed and now they love hoppy beers. I personally can’t imagine this ever happening to me, but, who knows.

I’ll stick with my Founders Dirty B astard, Backwoods B astard and Curmudgeon!

(Had to put those spaces to not get censored, iirc)

Have you tried Pigs Ass Porter, I think it is out of Oregon, it is a tiny bit bitter but good. My personal fav from the west is Black Butte, out of Utah. Here in the East yuengling makes a really nice porter, and a black and tan.
I was in England this last summer and I was amazed at how much better the Guinness was there. I understand that it is even better in Dublin. So now I have to go to Dublin someday and and have a Guinness and a Jameson (another thing I learned in London) they taste amazing together!

Watched “Only in America” with, Larry the Cable Guy, last night.

He was at the Texas State Fair, sampling the deep fried foods, said they deep fry everything there.
I spotted a sign for Shiner Bock deep fried beer.
Anyone ever have deep fried beer.
That does not sound good.

The Beer Thread is alive and well!

Black Butte Porter (OREGON!)
Rogue Double Chocolate Stout (OREGON!)
Ninkasi Oatmeal Stout (OREGON!)
Great Divide YETI Oatmeal Stout (yea, well, Colorado)

Nothings Left Brewing Co. “Strawberry Blonde”…

Believe me. you have to pee only of american beer. It does taste like water.
Americans can build nice cars but no brew good beer…

Yea, look what you started: :poke:

Now ignorant euro-douches be poppin off about stuff they know nothing about…just like cars

GTfastbacker, I have sent a warning to devil dog. Name calling is not appropriate here, could you repost the link to the restoration pages for some of your cars if those sites are still up? I have seen some pics and things in the past that are very impressive.
